This editing service combs through your manuscript one line at a time; checking the content, writing style, and language use. It helps tighten dialogue, correct run-on sentences and clunky sentence structure. It will help improve pacing, cut out redundancies, and give your manuscript a nice, even flow while still retaining your author voice.

Proofreading
Proofreading services correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation and ensures consistencies in spelling, hyphenation, numerals, fonts, and capitalization. It also checks for factual errors and internal consistency (such as a character having blonde hair in one chapter and black hair in another chapter without a said change).

How Does This Work?
It’s simple! All you need to do is click the ‘Request Service’ buttons above based on your needs and you will be directed to a simple questionnaire. This questionnaire asks basic questions about your manuscript: word count, genre, timeframe of when services are needed, and a paragraph about your story (this can be a back cover blurb if you want or just a basic overview of the story). Once I have received this information, I will get back to you within 48 business hours with an estimate for services, deposit information and payment plan if you want to proceed. You are not obligated to proceed after I give you this estimate. If you are still unsure or would like to see how I can help bring your manuscript to the place it needs for publication, reach out and I will be willing to edit your first three to four pages of your manuscript for FREE! This can help you decide if I am the right editor for you. Trust me, as an aspiring author myself, I understand how daunting it is putting your own money into your craft. I want you to be sure your investment is worth it!
**Rates will increase in mid-year 2025 so be sure to book your slot before then to get a lower rate–even if you don’t need services until late 2025! (However, I promise to still keep my rates below the industry standard!)**
What’s the payment plan?
To book services, I require a deposit of 10% of the total service fee. 30 days prior to your booked time, I require 40% of the total cost and then, when the day has come to submit your manuscript, I require the final 50% of your total. You may also opt to pay the total amount upon booking your service.
